Which president served the most terms in office? How many states are electing governors in 2022? And why are elections held in November?

These were just a few of the brain-teasers AFSCME members fielded during AFSCME’s Political Trivia game, which has become a beloved feature of International Conventions.

AFSCME Assistant Political Director Brian “Wink” McDonnell donned his host hat for the event, and AFSCME members proved once again they’re a force to be reckoned with when it comes to all things politics.

By the way, the answers to the questions in the opening paragraph of this blog are, in order:Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who served four terms, from 1932-1945; 36 governors will be elected in 2022; and elections were originally held in November because it was after the harvest but before the cold winter weather, so farmers could make it to the polls.
