- Download the Convention app and sign up for text alerts.
- To be an informed delegate and fully engage in the Convention, it is necessary to attend all business sessions.
- Understand the procedures for introducing and acting on resolutions and constitutional amendments.
- Find out when and where committees will meet and share your thoughts on issues important to your local, council or chapter.
- Place your cell phone on vibrate/silent mode during General Sessions and workshops.
- Always wear your badge while in the LACC. Badges will be checked at entry points throughout the week.
- There will be entry checkpoints that include modern security screenings. The systems are safe for people with medical devices and pregnant people, and they are ADA-compliant. An alternate security lane will be available for those who choose not to go through security scanners.
- When you have questions, ask an AFSCME International Union staff member or a Sergeant-at-Arms.
