Paint with PEOPLE

Date
Tuesday, August 18
Time
30 min. after the end of session
Location
Built to Bling Booth in the Exhibit Hall
We know you’re Built for this Moment — but can you paint for it, too?
Join us for a guided, sip-and-paint style craft session to benefit our union’s political action committee, PEOPLE. As elections approach, what better way to make a difference than to get creative with your fellow AFSCME members!
This activity is meant for people of all artistic abilities — just come enjoy music, light refreshments and conversation! Leave with something beautiful that will remind you of our union’s 47th International Convention.
When and Where
Our paint-and-sip style craft session will begin approximately 30 min. after the end of session on Tuesday, August 18.
It will take place at the Built to Bling Booth in the Exhibit Hall at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
Who Can Participate?
Participation in our PEOPLE fundraiser is limited to AFSCME members, retirees and their household family members.
How Does It Work?
Participants will choose a bucket hat or a small canvas and follow the directions of a paint instructor to produce beautiful art. A ticket means up to two hours of guided painting time.
We’ll provide all the materials you need — paint, paint brushes, a canvas or bucket hat, easels and art aprons — as well as light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
How to Buy a Ticket
Buy a $50 ticket by clicking on the link above.
On-site tickets will be sold at the PEOPLE booth inside the Convention hall beginning on Saturday, August 15.
Additional contributions are welcome! They can be made by credit card on the Convention website or by cash or credit at the PEOPLE booth.
What is the Fundraiser For?
This fundraiser is for our union’s PEOPLE political action committee (PAC), which helps us elect pro-worker politicians at all levels of government. With elections around the corner, it’s time to paint for this moment!
