Delegates to the AFSCME 47th International Convention approved 30 resolutions on Thursday and Friday. Throughout the week all 87 resolutions submitted to convention were considered:

  • Resolution No. 23 – Data Centers
  • Resolution No. 77 – Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace
  • Resolution No. 74 – End the Dismantling and Weaponization of Anti-Discrimination Law
  • Resolution No. 25 – In Support of the Courage to be Stronger Program
  • Resolution No. 59 – Fight Against War on Blackness
  • Resolution No. 17 – Eliminating the Unfair and Unequal Treatment of Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. Territories
  • Resolution No. 53 – Bargaining for the Common Good
  • Resolution No. 3 – Build Union Power at the Bargaining Table
  • Resolution No. 6 – New Employee Outreach Strengthens our Union
  • Resolution No. 31 – Medicare for All
  • Resolution No. 46 – Worker Mental Health, Psychological Safety and Peer Support
  • Resolution No. 58 – Developing Emergency Room Protocols for Treating Sickle Cell Anemia
  • Resolution No. 87 – Strike and Hardship Assistance Fund and Legislative Support
  • Resolution No. 49 – AFSCME International Sanctuary Union
  • Resolution No. 61 – VIVA La Huelga! – Long Live the Strike! In Support of Immigrant Detainee Workers, the National Immigrant Workers Strike and the Immediate Release of All Immigrant Detainees
  • Resolution No. 82 – Opposing Unlawful Actions on Immigration

AFSCME delegates passed the following 14 resolutions on Friday, Aug. 20, the fifth and final day of the 47th International Convention in Chicago:

  • Resolution No. 57 – Passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of 2025
  • Resolution No. 71 – Protecting the Right to Vote
  • Resolution No. 81 – Freedom, Fairness and Democracy for Working People
  • Resolution No. 4 – Protect Social Security for All Americans
  • Resolution No. 43 – Humane Solutions for People Experiencing Homelessness
  • Resolution No. 9 – Regulate Cryptocurrency and Divest from Digital Asset Markets
  • Resolution No. 19 – Take Private Equity Out of Public Services
  • Resolution No. 26 – Fighting for an Economy That Works for Working People
  • Resolution No. 33 – Affordable Housing Crisis in America
  • Resolution No. 7 – Universal Child Care
  • Resolution No. 11 – For a Four-Day, 32-Hour Workweek
  • Resolution No. 21 – Expand Paid Leave
