First-timer delegates and alternates are invited to a special briefing to learn how to navigate the Convention week successfully and get the most out of the experience.
The First Time Delegates and Alternates Briefing is Sunday, Aug. 16, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., in room S100 of the McCormick Place Convention Center.
The session will preview what to expect this week and what it takes to fulfill the role as a delegate or an alternate. Hear how parliamentary procedures govern most union business and how voting is conducted.
First-timers will also get an overview of the workshops, roundtables, and committee meetings and build your union knowledge and skills.
